Curriculum

The medical student didactic curriculum comes from Miller's Basics of Anesthesia. The chapters are short and we cover three to four each week. Our goal is to provide a solid base of knowledge to complement the hands-on learning that takes place in the operating rooms.

Four days each week one of the attendings (and occasionally one of the senior residents) will meet for a brief session in the afternoon to discuss one of the chapters. In addition to covering the information, this gives us a chance to get to know each of you and for you to meet more of the staff.

Additionally, there will be one departmental grand rounds each week and the medical students are also encouraged to attend the regular resident lectures.
