Anesthesiology Visiting Student Scholarship Program

The Anesthesiology Visiting Student Scholarship Program (VSSP) is intended to provide support to fourth-year medical students who are interested in promoting workforce diversity in healthcare.

The program provides a scholarship of up to $2,500 financial reimbursement in travel and lodging while accepted students participate in an anesthesiology clerkship.

At UCI Anesthesiology & Perioperative Care, we are actively pursuing a variety of ways to promote and foster a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusive excellence. We encourage students from all diverse backgrounds and those underrepresented in medicine or interested in promoting workforce diversity to apply.

Eligibility

All fourth year U.S. medical students with a demonstrated commitment to fostering workforce diversity are strongly encouraged to apply, especially those from groups underrepresented in medicine.

2. Apply for this Visiting Student Scholarship by completing the supplementary Visiting Student Scholarship Program Application

Application Deadline

Applications are being accepted now and will be reviewed by the VSSP Committee on a rolling basis. We encourage those who are interested in applying now to maximize their likelihood of consideration for the scholarship.

Scholarship recipients will be selected by the VSSP Committee on a rolling basis starting in mid-July.
